  1. The only reason ppl still sub to wow isn’t because the game is good. They’ve just invested so much time in it that they can’t let go. Like a toxic marriage. The story is mediocre now, combat is outdated, caters to casuals and noobs more than the core player base… list goes on

  2. Sucks about the PvP Scene. I am not a long time player but won't bother playing it. It's too late into the game and the knowledge required to play it is too high. They will never get a sizable group of new players to commit to pvp. A mount isn't a big reward when you have alternatives dropping elsewhere. They look awesome but that reward system is archaic and not enticing to grind for. There has to be more to it than a mount and a color pallet swap.

  3. As a new player this year, 'catching up' is such a hard part – I've no idea on WoD, MoP and limited knowledge of Shadow Lands. The cinematics have been amazing in Dragon flight – so really glad to hear they are exploring that for the future. Personal thought would be back supporting that, being able to get high level overview ones, eg. from Chromie. Also, more direction after Max Level would be useful.

  4. So, what happens if the horde does go hostile? Will the player be kicked out forever? Will the guards be like booty bay when you do insane achieve? Could all the horde together make it a hostile place, and that is part of the gameplay? So, the whole server would decide if the zone is hostile to Horde or not by a maximum number of them attack the city, say in PVP servers? That would be interesting.

  5. The Varian Lo'gosh swords most likely mean the Lo'gosh transmog will be on the Trading Post as well, probably as the bonus reward. I suppose we can expect the same from the Sylvanas transmog. It will most likely be a bonus reward, and we'll probably get a matching bow too.

  6. The amount of tenders we can get should be tied to the amount of achievement points we have unlocked. Those points are for nothing really, if it was a cap of +500 tenders to every 10k achieves that would motivate people to do them a lot I think

  7. In terms of player retention, there’s much more coverage in regards to pve content as opposed to pvp. This makes sense given the vast majority of players participate in that content more. Although, at least as someone who has participated more in pvp since cata, that’s the one area of the game suffering due to the rating/inflation issues, matchmaking systems, and game breaking classes like the ret paladin/augmentation patches. This might improve with the changes this week but pvpers have seen a drop in players despite decent gameplay overall. Anecdotally, I have seen a lot of players I know swap to SoD or mythic plus.

  8. I think the best way to address the TP shortage is to reward extra TP for collecting.

Getting a tier set gives you 20 – that seems low, but there are 13 classes and like 20 tiers and four variants of most tier sets, so it stacks up. Getting special mounts or doing heritage armour quest chains gives you 50-100 or so.

It's a small amount, but it adds up, and it's not FOMO, which is the most important thing.

  9. The head enchant is sooooo bad. It’s about 1.5% of my healing at 482ilvl. I heal decently with mostly 99 parses on hpal. Will try it in mythic difficulty after the holidays…

  10. So long as the monthly bonus for TP stays at 1000 or very near, regardless of additional tinder, then that seems well enough. Also I have enjoyed Destiny since alpha in 2014, though their monetization is insulting degree of FOMO, imho.

  11. yeah it feels like they are being better about planning and holding to it as best they can. something we havent seen in a while in a public way, which is really nice. August launch is what I have seen for War Within timing guessing from some and I think that is a nice middle ground. I think you are right that this team buildup has helped them with the roadmap, if they can do a 2nd year of roadmaps and hit most items on time, this new blizzard under MS might finally be on a better path. be a shame if they ruined what has helped improve customer experiences.
