How will this stop bots at all?
Won't botters just buy new accounts, do nothing on them for 30 days then start using them. Its not like they dont know they will need new accounts in the future.
Really got into your content phase 1 was positive and up beat. Now it’s just blizzard bad videos. Would love to see you go back to your original content, guides, updates, bis/prebis vid.
To hit on this topic, it does suck for new players but I think the amount of new players vs the damage to the bots outweighs the negatives.
Try to be positive please, the hate videos are starting to get a bit annoying, but you do you.
Beautiful, it’s not new characters. It’s people starting SOD with a new email. Which should be mostly bots. This is amazing for getting rid of bots. To the point where the thousands of bots will have to wait a whole month before anything can be sold or traded. 🎉
I see why this is done but also yeah new players kinda get the end of the stick that is not the nice end to try to stop bot accounts popping up faster than gold in incursions. Great vid as usual.
This is a good Change because this is aimed towards Bots. Yeah it Sucks for New players but tbh most new Players wont bother. Also you cant please everyone and sometimes you need to sacrifice something to fix something else and in this case the damage is not as big as getting lesser bots in the game by restriction new accounts for 30 days.
Uproar for nothing. People clearly have nothing better to complain about. Some would say they should touch some grass but in this case for REAL!

I need a way to fix this – but i get no message from them only a copy and paste Text.
30 Days wait pffff – im playing SoD not even a week .. My Progress completly stuck.. if they cant fix i quit.
And im be honsest – i take all players with me to quit if they have same problem like me.
Ill do it to my profession then to fuck blizzard when they fuck me.
My account was made in 2006. And all my era characters cant trade or use the AH. Its a joke. Cant whisper anyone either on era for over a month now, and we are paying a sub for this?

I like how there solution to counter botting is putting a 1 month restriction rather the using a software on detecting. Once again a billion dollar indie company does it again
So is the restriction on a new WoW Sub on an existing Bnet account? or only on a brand new Bnet account with a ofc new wow sub? that is very different and from huge interest 😀
if you read pixel color from botting app, you cant really make anti cheat anything, each action is randomly generated, and there is no pattern to find it. GMs would be the best option
oh so thats what that was. i was putting stuff on the ah last night and i got errors posting. auctions before bed. my account is 20 years old though, so no idea why. i logged in in the morning and i was able to post stuff again.

Started a new account on March 31st since I haven't played WoW since 2012 and no longer had access to my old email I used to use. Was playing with friends quite a lot when they were on, and quickly made my way to around level 35 when phase 3 hit. That night, I was not able to use the AH anymore, along with the other restrictions. Pretty much killed the game for me because now I can't help out my friends with some of their runes (since I can't trade) and my bags are completely full since I can't use the AH. Will see if Blizzard can do anything to remove the restriction on my account, but I'm not having high hopes.
I LOVE this because it kills botting

I believe this is a bug solheim. It happened to me. After some digging a found a reddit post. Apparently your cache is full and you need to log out and shut down bnet for 15 minutes. I tried it and it worked
if its anti bot system, then why i cant mail to my alt ? or buy item from AH. the problem is my bank and bag full, i have alot of supply box but cant fill and turn in it. Cant trade item or gold out must be enough to kill bot
Play turtle wow dude. Its a more genuine classic plus experience. With more content thw sod har been putting out and you dont have to pay.
i'm new to the game and i can't trade, mail or use the AH for 4 days now, it's sucks, i was loving the game
i convinced my co-worker to play wow sod and he loves skinning and fishing to sell on the auction house. now he cant and quit the game. im glad to see blizzard doing something to combat botting but this affects real players too. this is like our government taking guns away from law abiding citizens because of criminals. cant we find punishements that dont effect innocent people???
Do you farm views with this one? Geniune question because i know how much you hate botting and Im confused why you are not cheering this. Every stone on their way is a good thing no? Optimal solution is banning them of course but we all know blizz wont invest money for it unless player base make a huge movement against it so. Also like is it "HUGE MISTAKE OMFG" deal for a new player to not able to use AH and trade etc.? I did get in to trading using AH etc. after like 2-3 weeks anyways you dont even know which item does what. I dont think any new player cares or even notices this is a thing

I'm all for the change. It's season of discovery after all and if Blizzard actually are able to catch the botters in the 1 month window it's a big win.

I think this is a terrible decision, regardless of bots. I remember Steam pulling similar shit back then, and it just turned me off of using their fkin market service, cause I was simply restricted and cba waiting for that shit… Yea fight bots, but this is again just restricting player freedom as usual, like the 5 instance / hour lockout, and the GDKP ban. All in the name of stopping bots, yet limiting player freedom, fuck this change.

i already got like 30 confirmed bot bans via report in my ingame inbox. reporting works fine if players would just do it. i hope this enables the report system to do the job.
Dude, 30 days i would rage! If i pay you for the game.. i paid for the whole game. You dont restrict me because you cant get a handle on the bots… this is insane.
If they want to give you the first month free, then ok. But if you are charging for a subscription and you cant send mail… not acceptable..
I wonder why the people who have had a sub for 7+ years are the ones who are mad about this?? Its obvious that its to make sure no bots can sell what they botted for 30 days. And within that 30 day period they will have been caught and hopefully banned. Its unfortunate that it also hits new players with an account that subscribes for the first time… but if im honest, who tf gets a subscription with the intention of playing exclusively SoD?
