Battle for Azeroth ended, Sylvanas was defeated and we ventured right into the Shadowlands. However the issue is that BFA never really ended, all we got was an armistice but there was never a peace deal.
The Sword of Sargeras is still in Silithus, the world soul is still in danger, the forsaken bastion of Tirisfal was destroyed and now Lordaeron nobility Turalyon is leading the Alliance. Is new Alliance-Horde conflict imminent or is internal alliance strife a possibility?

What do you guys see happening to Azeroth while we are fighting the Jailer? Time-skip to a new conflict, something with the Sword of Sargeras? So, next expansion could be World of Warcraft: Light-lords of Draenor…
Not shilling or anything but I've had my carbon fiber Ridge wallet with the band for a few years now & it works and holds up like the day I got it. I thought the band would stretched out by now but nope. Worth every penny.
I personely wouyld enjoy things would be turned around…With the Alliance bieng the bad guys and having a civil war for once xD.
Lets just hope that they will remaster the older zones
I'm personally not against another Faction War expansion if it is done properly or done in a similar way to Mists of Pandaria. The thing about Mists was it focused on the continent of Pandaria and the war between the factions at the same time but the main story was the stuff with Pandaria.
Whenever time involved is you can count on infinite dragonflight to be nearby
I'm asking …
When the Void is able to corrupt a world soul, though we've never seen this situation actually …
And the Light isn't always good for the mortals …
Maybe there could be some Naaru that would want to do the same with Azeroth like the void?
X'era was very forceful towards Illidan in Legion, she wanted to force him into the Light so badly that he could'nt help but destroy her form in this time
But … Maybe there are some Naaru like X'era who want to take Azeroth like the Void, turn him into a Light Titan to purge the Void from the universe
Maybe there are Light Gods in Azeroth, like the old Gods, but they operate in a different, even more subtile style than the Old Gods did?
Elune, maybe a projection of Azeroth's awoken Parts, could be not a natural Thing, but more a avatar of a Light God
The Night Elves used to protect the World and the Nature, when a big Conflict occurs some of them would get a piece of the Power of Elune who corrupts them and make them a new Form in a long time like the old gods
Maybe Light and Void are literally Two Sides on the same coin, destructive, egocentric and reckless Forces, but in different Appearences
Would make Sense in my wicked mind, what do you think?
Only idiots would fight each other while the universe is at stake
You aren’t supposed to pull out something that is impaling someone since it would make the wound deeper and bigger, what you are supposed to do is move all the important tissue away from the wound and take it out on the other side so that you can then fix the wounds as it is better to have two wounds the same size then one which is five times bigger
I think the whole map change thing is what is going to happen because I think of new expacs like legion was bc and bfa was classic and shadowlands is wotlk so I feel next is cata and that had a map change
(btw I know bc was after classic)
A new faction war would be boring… Well…
Just having a new big bad guy show up, cause trouble and have us defeat him has basically been the formula since TBC, except for MOP and BFA. I mean, we all already know that we are going to deal with the Jailer in a raid.
Especially with the weakened Horde falling away as a common enemy an Alliance Civil War seems likely. Perhaps Trollbane seizes power of the Ebon Blade with Mograine and Bolvar gone and reings his own kingdom again. What was that? Arathi, Stromgarde? Turalyon might lead his share of the alliance against the Undead or down a fanatic path and Greymane holds Stormwind and Gilneas together? Who knows. Lots of potential though
It should be pointed out that time DOES NOT flow differently in the Shadowlands as it does on Azaroth. Ian confirmed this in an interview. It just FEELS like it does, kind of how it feels like time flows differently in a dream.
Just thinking about Gilneas, Lorderon, and Stromguard becoming cities for us to hang out in and quest, gave me chills
Bro I didn't know how handsome you were. Damn HMU. Lol. Awesome content!
Scarlet Crusade 2.0, mark my words!
I was talking to my buddy about this a few weeks ago. I would rather have had Blizzard take time to rebuild Azeroth and have a segway into an actual reason to enter the Shadowlands besides chase Sylvanas, or not even go to the Shadowlands at all. Personally, I don't really like this expac lore wise. It doesn't really make sense to me why these realms even exist, and why the souls of the dead go there in the first place. Why do the dead have the ability to die again? Why have we never had a clue that this place exists since we die constantly in game and go the the Shadowlands on Azeroth. Which is now called what? The inbetween? The not-so-shadowlands? Odyn traded his eye to see into the Shadowlands. He didn't realize shit was going down over there? It is just meh to me, like we are jumping the shark.
I think Azeroth as a whole would have benefited from a rebuilding period. No half baked faction war. Sylvanas flies away at the end of BFA and does some evil scheming for a few years. Tyrande goes on her hunt throughout Azeroth trying to track her ass down. The horde council is formed and they do whatever. The forsaken need to be given some kind of reprieve, Calia could lead the ones home that wanted to make amends and reconnect with their families now that Sylvanas isn't there to fuck it all up. The Forsaken that refuse and want to just be alone can hide away in Org. The Blood Elves finally get to repair Silvermoon, and heal the scar (which means Blizzard actually rebuilds the zones, no more instances). Gilneas gets to reopen and all that. The horde council and the alliance come together to figure out a way to remove the blight clouds from Lordaeron. The humans are able to rebuild it and reclaim their ancient homeland. The Night Elves try to heal their lands and figure out a new place to live. Possibly in Valsharah or some shit I don't know.
Overall each race gets some time to rest and fix this destroyed planet, and then fuck face Sylvanas appears and goes HA! FUCK YOU ALL! and then shatters the veil. Or maybe all this could happen while we are away. This happening in an expac of its own would be boring as all fuck since there would be no bad guy lol.
I mean common that sword will be azeroths weapon when she wakes up. I'm banking on that
Maybe after azeroth woken, she'll purify the sword of sargeras and use it, just like how tirion purified the ashbringer.
Whatever fates or changes awaits us in Azeroth, moonguard-goldshire will always be the same…
