  1. If they really want to shake things up in a way that would make players feel the difference then they'll not only add or retool more support specs but also increase the group size to 6 with 1 tank, 1 healer, 3 dps and one support in a bid to lower the demand for tanks and healers in group finders as each (especially) tank will serve more dps players. It would up the minimal raid size to 12 and force Mythic down 2 slots to 18 while flex caps remains untouched.
With a new expansion old raids and dungeon balance around the base 5 would no longer matter (assume the change to be held back during pre-patch) and only returning M+ dungeons would need re-tuning (with a few possible exceptions but that would be on an encounter basis rather than full dungeon)

I call this 104% legit leak "WoW: Shortening Of A queue"

  2. Is it just me or with metzen back should they not look at a wow4. Do an entirely new story built off wow. I’d assume that’s allow them to adopt a new engine and everything allowing them to make a far better game.

You can wrap up this story line while also launching your new rts game on your new engine building up to your wow 4 and you just have that as an entire story arc spanning x amount of expansions

  3. It just feels too "normal" for Tyr to have given a dire and serious warning like he did in the Erenithria book. Tyr's like: "Don't go there…there's a jungle and some troggs and stuff. It's too humid too. Yeah, stay home please."
I was more expecting like a light-blasted wasteland or a void-infused growth on Azeroth or something actually worth sealing away from the rest or Azeroth. Not…a desert and a jungle.
Though this is still all assuming this is actually the expansion leaked which isn't guaranteed.

  4. Bruh if it's what we think, I'll never pay for another retail expac again. Shit sounds more boring than watching paint dry. Even if 12.0 is hype as fuck, I still won't buy Khaz Assgar.

  5. God I hope the support leaks are fake, its such an old concept we don't need anymore. The fun part of WoW is that each class brings utility, each class is somewhat hybrid (an argument to be made that some classes suffer in this regard, but that's something that should be addressed). I don't want to exclusively queue up as a support spec to get the fun out of utility functionality. If you take utility from dps/tank/healers does that mean that you do nothing outside of those roles, thus hyper reinforcing narrow role expectations?

  6. It FEELS like we are doing one last big hurrah of an island expansion (because it was already made) before we reel it in with the events of the expansion finale and return to a revamped Azeroth like we have been missing for years.

  8. If upcoming WoW raid has you fighting the deific figures of Azeroth/Azeroth's past but it is a trial and a celebration, gee what does that sound like? That sounds exactly like the Endwalker Alliance raids.

  9. Blizzard will never lay out a roadmap, because as soon as they see a problem they just hit the eject button, and move on to the next thing. They've done it with like 4 expansions now. Its why the story has been so bad for like 10 years except at small points.

  10. i believe if the newest 3 are the true leaks, i think the night elf piloting the ship is the Nightsquall because of that book 'Return of the Nightsquall' found in-game. i believe that its just him taking us there.

  11. Honestly, the zones give me WoD vibes and that excites me. WoD had amazing zone design and I've always wanted to see a more primal side of Azeroth. Its quite possible we could be seeing dwarven, vulpera & botani if the leak has any truth to it.

  12. My guess is – this new world was a testing area. The titans worked on the elementals, making them more subservient and to be their “Watchers” just as we are now. They ultimately were abandoned and then came us

  13. There's no way in hell Blizzard would add 6 new specs, imagine the balancing they would have to do which they can't even make for one class properly. But I hate the direction Blizzard has taken the game so all of this is just meh for me either way. If they want me to at least enjoy the lore again then go back to the simple scourge, dread lords, etc etc.. storytelling.

  14. Wouldn't it be cool if they embraced the idea of a "reset" within the next expansion gated by the opposite side of the globe. Once you go there its basically a fresh start. No mounts work, seperate achievement page etc. A world that is almost the size of classic wow in itself. Somehow make it feel like your almost changing clients once you go there.
Maybe we cannot get through whatever barrier is there but we can project an avatar of ourselves through the barrier but it is but a portion of our strength. Our current toons never actually leave their current mount clustered world but their avatars do and get a fresh start struggling against mere kobalt level monsters once more. When we logout in the new world the game does not immediately shut but (after a loading screen) our "conciousness" is warped back to the maingame and we're stood in orgrimmar still….. then we can logout.

  15. You know what would be crazy? The 3 way battle to be true and Odyn wins, and we lose. He reset the world, and we get a world end FFIV style that goes in to 12.0 which will actually be WoW 2.0. New dawn, new world, new stories still in the world of warcraft universe.

  16. "New World"? Damn, and here that I thought that waiting for them to put Thavnair and Meracydia was too much to ask Yoshi-P, now he's doing part time putting another New World on Warcraft (now with extra Bards! 🤣).
That Paladin new talent, someone must have played too much Vermintide II.
    Dwarfs that worship Elune. OK
All races being Druids and Shamans. Yeah, tell me more.
Rebuilding Silvermoon and Gilneas is top priority 👌

Oh well, at least we are going to enjoy our New World first before it reaches BattleNet 👀

  17. man even these "leaks" sound very boring. I can only imagine how underwhelming the the real thing will be. Hoping for a big suprise this Blizzcon if not I may be done with WoW. (played since Cata without missing an expansion)

  18. My expansion wishlist! (I know it's alot, but after what they've done last while it'd be a step in the right direction}

Where's Tinkerer's in all the 'leaks'!? >:( They could even make the dps or healer spec of the class a support hybrid? Who doesn't want to tank in a mecha, with racial customization(kinda like druids racial forms? You see many examples of such out in the world already) for your mecha/steampunk tank/gyrcopter? Arcane/magitech for blood elves, crystals for draenei, lightforged for LF draenei, mad scientist for mechagnome, gnome and goblins, steampunk for human, dwarf and orc. Etc. You could have tracks, shields, Gatling guns, flamethrowers, hover, etc depending on your talents, race, etc?

Bannerlord; dps or tank support hybrid for warrior. Dips further into the using banners, shouts, ete and battlefield tactician/leader trope.

Bard; ranged dps/support hybrid for rogue.

Chronomancer; dps or healer support hybrid for mage. Uses time magic.

Runemaster/Runelord; dps or healer support hybrid for DK.

    Earthmancer/Earthwarder; tank spec for shaman.

Dragon Knight? Warden? Tank spec for Evoker

Tank spec for hunter.(Survival?) You and your pet use teamwork to harry your foes. Or Dark Ranger?

Tank spec for Warlock. Merge with your demons?

Ranged caster/physical dps spec for DH. New weapon types; hand crossbows and throwing glaives/warglaives can be thrown?

Holy Gun; ranged smiting spec for palidans. Uses guns and such.

Wolf form for druids(they finally learned to control it) dps/support hybrid? Howls to buff/debuff?

Player housing! Can choose where your home is; city, suburbs, a farm with fields, cabin in woods, treehouse, underground/hobbit holes, etc. Guild housing like the guild strongholds from SWTOR. Perhaps have a guild flagship as well? Big ship you can park offshore and give buffs/barrages from ship? to guildies in the area/continent? Ala SWTOR. If there's really any oceanic theme give is ship combat/building? Use guild flagship idea? Personal/guild dock?

Great unpruningunpruning! Basic/core class abilities should be baseline! Berserker shout, Intimidating shout, Spell Reflect, etc for warriors for instance.

Leader of the Pack baseline for feral(possibly guardian as well?)

Spell crit/or all crit? totem for Elemental shaman. Multistrike/gives hots and dots chance to proc again? totem for resto? or both of them a multistrike totem? Enhancement can use 2handers again!

High elves as playable race! (No…Void Elves don't count…)

Cat player race, to draw in players from FF? lol

Dragonriding/aerial combat. Dragonriding ability that lets you use your mounts breathe weapon before you land?

  19. Everything about the credible leaks is shit. The game and the universe even, needs a revamp/reboot. Because it can't sustain itself on this dogshit modern fan lore. It's not Metzen's Warcraft that people loved anymore, and that desperately needs to be rectified. So a game called World of Warcraft could, in it's initial lifespan not only justify it's title, but show that the name of the game really reflected the experience. Since then, the world has been continuously abandoned in favor of isolated grind island#10. In addition to that, even the concept of warcraft has been invalidated. There's not even any war anymore. And in terms of the "warcraft setting" meaning of the phrase, it's become some modern disney writing fanfic that I just can't stand by. It needs to go legacy fast, or silent for long enough for the developers to incubate an entirely new experience of some kind. The spiritual successor to the original game if you will. Even if that is upwards of a decade imo. Because it's better than playing all the same expansions every 2 years.

What made the old game good was the dividing faction and class fantasy which gave entirely unique experiences, relatively of course, to your choosen disposition in the character creation. From there, it was exploration and immersing yourself in an incredibly expansive and soulful experience. And never forget, it was brutal and hardcore. It beckoned the player to figure out how to deal with it on their own. It wasn't hand holding you or watering it down or making it more accessible etc. What you couldn't manage on your own, you had to plead to the social aspects of the game to figure out. It was amazing, but it required dedication and commitment. That wasn't a problem, because the game made the player desire to commit. He or she wouldn't have it any other way. You didn't have to rush anything. Leveling was the primary experience of the game. Not just endgame. And it made players who didn't have a PC CRAVE to have one. It made them pay a monthly sub. And they would tell you it was well fucking worth it. Nothing can do that nowadays. It really was the goat. The game that made every boomer in the world insecure about the video games having equivalent addictive properties to drugs. It was that fucking good when it was novel. Where's the novelty now?

  20. Give me an in-depth ship building system and some actual content around that like naval battles and i'm all in. Player housing and support specs would also be cool but I don't believe or care about that. Dragonflight has had the worst lore in any WoW expansion so far so it can't get any worse on that front.
