  1. I still play osrs, not that that is perfect but they do it a lot better than world of warcraft.
In osrs I actually had a couple of moments I was surprised about the new content added and enjoyed it.
I can't say the same about world of warcraft, classic left within a month after reaching max level.
TBC left after about a week orso after reaching 68, and now it is time for wotlk.
Atleast wotlk has some raids for me to look forward to, but what I keep hearing from blizzard, It ain't looking good.
I just can't stop shaking me head when I hear news from blizzard about classic…
After all these years running a game and company, how can you still be so stupid?!?

  2. LFD kills open world and community.
IF you want to non-stop farm items and mounts go to fking retail, do your farming 24/7 and please forget about classic.
PvE crybabies ruined original wow, now they want to ruin classic.

  3. this Season of fresh Start Servers are the reason why i left Classic.
They are killing the Servers and splitting the Community with this Trash.

And this is the Reason why i dont know if i even want to start Wrath again….

  4. I think it would have been cool if Blizzard had explored content that was originally intended for Vanilla WoW and rehashed it out. Zones that were started but not completed, like a Classic version of Hyjal, the Emerald Dream, etc. Also flesh out zones that were clearly unfinished in Vanilla's lifespan such as Azshara, the Blasted Lands, and Deadwind Pass.

  5. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a version of classic + with the LFD tool, updated graphics, elves for horde and draenai for alliance, some sort of tokens from the high level dungeons that can be turned in for some entry level raid loot. heroic and mythic versions of classic raids, achievements, basically classic with some wrath level quality of life improvements. I think folks would come back for something like that.

  6. Literally everyone will be able to fly in Northrend, so is it really that bad to simply have two people fly to an instance and summon the rest before starting the run.. rather than jumping around in Dalaran, sign up, teleport in, run through it without typing a single word almost like the group is just you and 4 bots, teleport out and start jumping around in Dalaran again..? Stop being lazy and realise this is one of the things that made WoW worse.

Not having an instant "find group and get teleported to the instance"-tool will greatly benefit the overall feeling of wotlk IMO.

  7. at first I was against the removal of LFG/LFD whatever you want to call it, but after playing to 50 without it I can confidently say that I prefer it. At least for now. I play on a fresh server so most of the playerbase is actively leveling and the world is very lively and there's active wPvP which I am very much enjoying. It is very easy to find groups even as a melee dps that doesn't fit into "dungeon spam spell cleave meta".
However, I can imagine that when things die down and people settle into their mains and start focusing on gearing those, the amount of people leveling will diminish significantly and it will probably be much more difficult to find groups without it. I would say, wait and see how the leveling experience turns out later down the line, if it is nearly impossible to find groups because there are so few people in every dungeon bracket, then re-add the LFD tool for 15-79.

  8. Although I enjoyed Cata first time (especially the world revamp and how some quests unfolded after it), I would like to stay in "old world" and I wouldn´t like to be forced into it. I´m happy with Wotlk as final expansion .
Also, I would like LFD back! x)

  9. The one thing I didn't like with Cata was where the story went.
The zone that brought everyone so many memories being redone. Deathwing coming out of nowhere to destroy everything, when there were other enemies already established (did we really need to wait so long to deal with Azshara?), stuff like that.
    But I'm a story/lore lover.

  10. I felt real bad when I heared that the whole tbc expansion got patched to wotlk. It would be very nice if they have left few realms on the tbc expansions for whoever wants to stay at TBC.

  11. I wish for Systems that wouldn't make previous Expansions obsolete, but sort of consider them "side grades" where you gather equipment and experience specific for a expansion like classic cata, but even if you complete classic cata you would still be "fresh" to wotlk content with the endgame loot you got from cata classic being essentially "worthless" in wotlk classic, or tbc and vice versa, while having gear from the old world endgame raids would give sort of a small "head start" in each of those expansions. That would keep original classic relevant and all expansion contents as well. But maybe it would spread the player base too thin among too many "valid" parallel endgame zones

  12. I just think it shouldnt have be left up to the players, or a decision by blizzard to remove lfd in classic wotlk, it was part of the experience first time around and people enjoyed the expansion so why remove it. "Because it ruined the social aspect to the game" is the only thing anyone ever says. Well so far my experience is very few dungeons, spam spam for groups, then run a dungeon with RANDOM people from the chat interface and still hardly any interactions once you get going, so that reasoning is bullshit. They could have just taken out the teleport straight to the dungeon aspect and the system would have been 100% fine. ORRR people say get a good guild… ok so why do you care about a lfd existing and are so against it that blizzard has listened… your not going to use it anyways. Matchmaking gave you a group and let you go do the content, current system has people turning you down and ignoring you if you dont meet their standards, thats better?

  13. Honestly.. lfd did destroy wow. You didn't need to form relationships, strong guilds, teamspeak(o.o) groups etc anymore. Queue and do it with randoms.
That was the "wow" experience, and that's pretty much gone for 95% of players.
However.. what's the alternative? We aren't 12 years old anymore.
I can't join an AV before school and then rejoin the same one AFTER school. I can't raid for 6 hours every night.
We're 30-40 now, we have jobs and kids.. the classic wow of no-lifing for multi digit HOURS isn't realistic on a massive scale like it was 20 years ago.
Solution? idk. But I imagine a game director making millions should be able to figure that out.

  14. I hope they stop at wrath and just continue with seasons. Cataclysm was the destruction of the foundation we fell in love with imo. It wasn’t refreshing or new or anything. The zones were sloppy as well was the crafting & questing & only a handful of fun dungeons and raids. Cata was literally the birth of WoWs demise.

  15. For years, I have suggested that WoW borrow the idea of "skirmishes" from LOTRO. These are instances where you play through a major plotline of a zone related to the expansion but these instances can be played solo or in a group up to 5 players. They typically have some RP, a fair amount of trash (complete with appropriate-level drops) and 1-3 mini-bosses. And they are repeatable.
It is possible to level a character solely through the skirmish system.
The closest thing WoW has to this system currently is ICC but imagine if it was possible to solo it at level.
In addition to creating a leveling path that is possible to solo through instances/dungeons, it would just be cool to make the lore more accessible for each of the amazing zones we wander through.

  16. At this point, the only thing that makes sense after Dragonflight is to develop a full blown sequel OR prequel, utilizing modern GPUs. In doing so, learn from the fan base and give the people what they want. Classic mechanics, new content, new lore, new visuals. It would take massive work, but would be wildly successful. These cheap expacs are a get richer quick approach, attempting to cash in on previous successes. It's time to re earn your place at the top, if you want it.

  17. The lfd/lfr finder was game-breaking but only because the fact that you got teleported to the dungeon. Automatically finding a group would be nice BUT you still have to fly to the summoning stone and get your party there.

Also, transmog has to be added. Blizzard not adding that is something I can't understand because it would mean people would spend more time in game farming gear.

  18. This dev has been leading expansions since Cataclysm and taken WoW in completely the wrong direction – Might aswell rename the game because retail is not WoW, its a generic android game.

  19. I want a seperate timeline in which the cataclysm never happens and death wing just sleeps for another 1000 years. They could have reworked those textures and the world in general without breaking the barrens in two and stuff like that. the barrens where always iconic to me because they were so huge, just implement some speed buffs so it doesn't take 30 minutes to walk from one place to the other.
There should be more server connectivity because one big problem for me was never finding people for dungeons when leveling. Just merge small servers.

  20. I want some of the quality of life stuff. Mounts and collections bound to account rather than character.

    Things i dont want:
    Reforging
The reduced talent trees where we get to choose from 3 things every 15 lvls

  21. I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. At least 50% of what people mean when they say “classic” is the pre cata map. At the very least they should phase the zones so they don’t just all stop existing. Be able to see the zones before and after the cataclysm

  22. NO CATA!!!! It sucked!!!!! The way they messed up Azeroth just made it a whole new game I had/have ZERO interest in doing again . The difference is that this time I will NOT waste money on Cata at all this time I will just quit the second Cata releases this time and save my money.

  23. I would think that it would prove viable to provide some of the positive experiences from Cata without giving us Cata, just implement them into Classic Era 2.0.
Many of us have voiced our opinion that Cata effectively changed the world to the point that, it became the line in the sand that separated the old world from the new.
Following that mindset, it's therefore also the defining separation of both "Clasic" WoW and "New" WoW.

To me, a "Classic Cata" is a definitive oxymoron. What happened before Cata is what I refer to as "Classic". What happened after is the "New" Azeroth.
I agree that there were many positives that Cata brought to; Gameplay, Character creation, gear, systems, etc but those positives can be introduced into "Classic + " without the baggage that the entire Cata expansion brings with it. Essentially, providing us the best of both worlds.

  24. If Blizzard went a direction of no LFR, larger talent trees, no world revamp and seeing cut content that they have the files still saved released. One of the biggest reasons was I fell in love with WoW is because it felt like a fantasy world where you would get lost in for hours. LFR had no purpose as raiding should always be content thats built together not just 20 random people thrown together, Larger talent trees allow for more player choice (Dragonflight has brought this back to a degree at least for me) and the World Revamp seemed to hit all the worse zones in WoW at the time and brought with it even more boring storyline for the zones. Cata was my favorite xpac but even I would agree that Blizzard changed to much to fast and who knows maybe Blizzard can use Classic as a way to retell the story properly in a order that matters. Maybe not Cata next but maybe Mists or WoD first then we come back to find out Deathwing has escaped. Possibilities are endless for them

  25. I wish they patched and balenced Vanilla, skipped TBC , stayed lvl 60 and just kept releasing new stuff for the original game. Imagine the Hyjal patch, Uldum Patch, Gilneas patch, all the potential raids. Theres so much to add to the original game without having to ever go TBC and beyond. Expansions were nice and all but the best MMORPG experience I had was OG vanilla without the meta.

  27. Honestly level 1 DKs, starting out as an acolyte like all those dudes in front of the 3 trainers in acherus.

No fuckin clue lore-wise but idc as long as i can level from 1 to 80 as a DK, could be the stupidest parody shit like being little shit spies sent by arthas to help spread the plague of 2008.

  28. I'm kind of sad, I was not interested in classic, played vanilla classic at launch, saw the game was really not like all those vets made it out to be and moved on, but now with wotlk and hardcore I am actually interested but sad because I missed out of tbc but not a single server left for people who want to try it out or to stay there. I feel perhaps you need less servers for a larger concentration of people to try and also force a better faction balance, maybe 1 pve realm and 1 pvp realm. I'd also like more seasonal stuff, even if it's for each expansion separetely, or a season of mastery that goes all the way to wotlk might work I don't know, but for someone like me, whoe started playing back during wotlk, I'd like to just stay there and replay it again on different classes but I wish people who love tbc could get their own era realms as well.
