  1. Sounds crazy but microsoft are so good for gamers. Comes from the fact they rely on hardware sales not software sales. They just want what we want, good games, because that sells more consoles.

  2. Who would have thought the great Blizzard of the 90's, 2000's and even early 2010's… would be on the verge of being shutdown… looks good on them, but it's also a sad thing… I loved Blizzard games… they used to be the pinacle of quality…

  3. U know what? This, this is the point we can reay say officially – Blizzard is finally died, and i think they don't need to cancel this project because it was new ip from Bli, even its worse than they make, it not be worst than Diablo immoral or Rumble. I hate modern Blizz, i mean ActiBliz, but i don't get that Microsoft is doing, they just ruin everything, i don't see how they make something life better in terms of game quality and studios they bought. And for me, old Blizz fan i don't disappointed or dislike it, i'm just.. Sad, u know. In 1 moment this studio was 1 of the, or da best game studio in the world, especially on PC.. Back then it was magnificent. And they only have name and brands, people left, games are almost trash at this point and its ruined and pity end to great king of developing. Kings don't rule forever, damn. RIP Blizz, Shout Out Metzen and Old Company and Boys of Blizzard who create so many Masterpieces. I can't believe who Bli fall on bottom so much, damn. Only name without people and nothing else anymore. Its really fucked up. But Micro don't help either, they just shoot this horse, not saving them.

  4. Dragonflight best expansion I have played by a long shot in terms of quality. Yes, back in the days WoW was new and fresh, but the competition was tetris on gameboy. It was not hard, we know now that we play classic, we were just armless kids.

  5. I worked in research and development for 20+ years and went through a few mergers. Your project may be scrapped if the new people don't see the value in it. This scrapping was planned well before this announcement and Blizzard probably are the ones who told them they could scrap it. Some projects are very "pie in the sky" and probably never really viewed as possible by management anyway and those are the first ones to go.

  6. It's what happens in most major mergers… the new company coming in has no problem trimming the fat to increase their first year profit margin potential. And a company like Blizzard running the way it did for so long, def. has a lot of bloat. I don't agree with this and feel bad for everyone who lost their jobs. But it's the industry. Hopefully, it translates to better products. But it leaves a massive moral decrease that's hard to overcome.

  7. So Microsoft decided to fire 2000 people from a company that has done nothing but make absolutely shit games for the last 10 years? You mean they didn't want to keep those people around? Darn! What a shock!

  8. It indeed feels disappointing to see such potential and anticipation being washed away. The continuous leadership change is concerning and might have a severe impact on future Blizzard's products.

  9. The rapture is coming.

I TOLD YOU ALL, Blizzard will be fixed, they aren't just going to buy it and let it run wild, they need to go in and fix the root of the problem, which given was bobby but there's still left overs.

I'm hoping Blizzard become good again, it's been on life support for YEARS.

  10. Not a surprise. There's re-skining a game like call of duty do every year then there's pretty much straight up releasing the same game calling it a different game in overwatch 2.

  11. Microsoft bought Activision-Blizzard for King IPs, Candy Crush, and mobile revenue.
The entire Activision-Blizzard everything? They'll probably just get deleted.
Having WoW, Overwatch, and a few other IPs are fine and all, but they'll basically just get added to GamePass and slowly get phased out.

  12. Who cares about this event. Blizzard wil stand forever and won't ever disappear. Unfortunately they are way too big for that by now. They will continue providing soulles games. Lets wait and see.

  13. its a good thing, Blizzard was in a downward spiral for the last 12 years, bad decision after bad decision…Now they can delete everything that was going wrong, have a small team of developers and start from scratch with focus and creative freedom
