Hey guys! Blizzard recently sent a bunch of items live in the dungeon journal on the war within alpha. These items are all drops from the up coming raid “Nerub-ar Palace”, and includes a ton of trinkets, rings and weapons – really interesting to see the idea behind some of them and i have a lot of hope for them – anyways hope you enjoy!

  1. As a guy that got his BiS legendary week 1 in Legion, I remember running into my roommate’s room yelling about it. I was so pumped. He raided with me and did not get his. lol

  2. Key phrases in this video…. "people feel" "people want" "people need" wow ever wonder what happened to our once great game…. Easy enough to spot in this video. We the players helped the money grubby backers kill it. We wanted something they wanted money and found a way to capatilize and together we ruined the thing we all collectively used to love immensely.

So if you ever think to yourself, whatever happened to wow…. We did, but stocks did too, but partly us. Damn self entitlement has ruined this game as well as stunted any future development in this space. Gotta love people.

  3. All slots except tier, weapons and trinkets are kind of boring – I think it would be cool if off-set pieces had varying mixes of also primary stats – for example, some pieces could have lower stam but higher secondary stats, just to mix it up, keep it fresh. Earlier versions of the game had this and people could chase pieces with different mixes of primary and secondary stats depending on their play style and preferences. I for one always like having a little extra stam around but all the log degenerates would enjoy being a glass cannon and falling over like a snowflake but doing big dam during their brief life.

  4. My first Legion legendary was on my Shaman. It was the wrists that buffed chain lightning. I got them after a BG and a friend of mine was sitting next to me.
    It was awesome

  5. I cant remember the moment i got the legendary i really wanted on my blood DK in legion, because it never dropped even after playing through the entire expansion playing every single week. Not even after the drop rate was buffed. So yeah… whatever

  6. People saying healer trinkets that dont come with a " dps " effect on them are DoA are literally wrong. Were not getting a stat squish with this xpac. Everyone will be cranking insane numbers. DPS will be important again coming from actual dps players instead of needing tanks and healers doing as much dps as possible. Which allows healers to focus more on healing with an addition of small bursts of dps.

Cringe keystone mains need to stop sucking the dick of the MDI and re evaluate what they are doing.

  7. I really liked that grappling hook trinket from Aberrus. No one used that shit but I was sad when I replaced it lol. Had it macrod to wings and would pop wings and swing in on em

  8. As a Hunter that Agi heal trinket sounds NUTS. Like, I could make myself borderline invincible in PvE nuts.

Drop a Sturdy Love Fool, hit it until you have an insane HP pool, send pet to boss so combat doesnt drop, start fight with crazy HP pool. Our healing is % based so stack it enough and we could just flat outheal the incoming damage.

Also healer trinkets almost always proc from Mend Pet so you can use it to supercharge your pet healing for soloing for shit. yeah its TERRIBLE for damage but if you want to try and solo crazy stuff its all about staying alive, not raw throughput.

That nature damage ring sounds fucking SICK as Aimed Shot/Serpent Sting means we are almost always doing nature damage.

  9. in regards to the performance/chase issue i wish they would do something like GW2 does where you reach maximum performance very quickly and then you have tons of cosmetics to chase.

  10. For me Very Rare feels like they are trying to make legendaries without calling them legendaries. I do like the idea of very rare items if they are powerful and are actually very rare. With split difficulties though, you can't be having very rare items dropping on normal and LFR. That just makes players feel forced to run content they don't want to run because with some of the very rare items, even their LFR ilvl versions were BiS, which feels kind of silly. I'd be totally fine with very rare being heroic+mythic, mythic only, or heroic only. heroic+mythic to reward AOTC players with better loot for doing harder content. Mythic only for top tier progression raiders to be the ones rewarded for actually doing the hardest raids. Heroic only to reward AOTC players with better loot, but also to encourage players to continue to run heroic after they have everything else and to have something in the heroic raid that can be equivalent to mythic track, without it being in the mythic raid, giving some players an additional stepping stone to mythic raiding.

  11. i would honestly be interested to see a patch/expansion where trinkets were all exclusively for utility or ease of life. Would give more room for them to be unique and tailored to a person's playstyle instead of just picking which one do most dam.

  12. 20:45 the thematic for this trinket is so cool, the spider spies on them to gain intel on the enemy, and then it increases your INTELLIGENCE based on how much intel it received. the longer you let it spy, the more intel you get. very cool i hope it has cool visuals

  13. That Very Rare Ring-Seal of the Poisoned Pact will be BIS for Havoc DH. With any means Nessessary Capstone talent every ability Havoc does is Chaos Damage and Chaos Damage counts as every school of Damage except Physical. Cause Choas Damage is every school of magic Damage put together.

Plus High Crit is perfect stat wise

  14. 5:20 – Mana back to healer when healed.
If this procs off HoT and HoT effects I can see this being an interesting trinket! Lots of healers have a HoT and in M+ the team is small enough to easily have a HoT on everyone. Depending on procrate the Vers could be nice.
But as Max says, depends on tuning and if other trinkets are better (aka more DPS)

  15. I got every non throughput legendary possible before getting a throughput one on my DK then never got the Frost belt and got benched on mythic Gul'dan for a guy that did. Chase items are great until you aren't allowed to play the game without them.

  16. im sorry but that neck is sooo good. if you got 19 other people wearing it and it procs like 3 times a minute that 300k mana a minute lmfaooo. that's fkn juiced… twitch chatters going "6k mana is nothing".. lmfaooo its not about getting 1. its about getting many.

  17. Legendary type items I feel were best Implemented in the Wrath/Cata era. The Hammer, Shadowmourne, the Staff and Daggers all showed that you put in the time/work, felt great to have and you weren't solely at the mercy of Rng.

  18. no way people are actually suprised by the fkn dmg increase and stat increases and effect n shit from expansion to expansion. "huh 2.1 million damage"… yes. you will be doing like 2.6 mill dps. that is not that big guys. chill out.

  19. Guildies and I basically came to the same conclusion with Foul Behemoth's Chelicera. It's an amazing survival boost trinket and should basically be considered by all agi/str dps during prog if the dot damage turns out to be competitive. The only downside to the trinket is convincing your DPS to use it over a 0.5% higher dps trinket.
We need WFRs to emphasize how good effects like this are more, as it took FAR to long for Spore Cloak to become standard in DF Season 2.

  20. Speaking as an M+ Andy I actually do like these "after 4 minutes" trinkets because that makes them less desirable in M+, if the majority of raid trinkets were that way I wouldn't feel nearly as compelled to have to do the raid to get them. That or if we could still get a shot at them somehow, like have it be that there's a raid boss and a M+ boss that can drop them and you get one roll a week on that item no matter which way you do it, that way it's fair and neither side feels like they ABSOLUTELY MUST run raids/M+ (delete whichever is inappropriate).

  21. Maybe I’m a psycho but I think they could absolutely do rare legendary items like war glaves again. I think the vast majority of players would find it cool and the “performance focused” players would hate it, but as you’ve said in the past Max, they shouldn’t design for the minority.
