Shards of Domination are a new system that is being added in Patch 9.1 Chains of Domination. This system is being added to help make raid loot more enticing as certain pieces of Sanctum of Domination loot will drop with Domination sockets, allowing players to socket a Shard of Domination in them! When socketed, Shards of Domination have powerful effects, and if you equip 3 Shards of Domination of the same type, you’ll get a set bonus that works inside the Maw, Torghast, and the Sanctum of Domination raid.
