  1. Elune is actually a tragic "figure" and i hope we'll learn sooner than later. Elune was the Shadowlands until…. The Protodragons had no cosmic afiliation, all they were was colourspectrums of Azeroth's creation, or Azeroth's light, from purple on the lower end of the spectrum to red on the upper spectrum. Ysera's affiliation with Life started with the Titan's "blessing".
The question everyone here including Acco should ask is, WHERE THE FUCK IS AN'SHE ??? she used to be way way more powerful and influential on Azeroth and its creation than Elune/Mu'sha. Follow that question and read the known lore and your picture about what happened to Azeroth will get clearer and clearer. The titans are full of shit.

  2. What if Galakrond isn't the big bad dragon that we have always been told he was. What if that was a lie of the Titans/Elune in order to gain the trust of the other Dragons so that they would be subservient to them and that the powers that were given to them are actually, in essence, shackles.

  3. I think Elune at one point belonged to one of the cosmic forces (most likely death or life) but then she obtained more power and went beyond her original role. Remember that beings and spirits that are worshiped in wow obtain power akin to diviniy. Just look at the Loa, they are more powerful the more worshipers and Idols they have, gaining power and authority over aspects of the world and those power are not tied to just nature itself, after all we had a Loa of death (Bwonsamdi) that travel to the shadowlans and build a realm there (de other side). Elune is ancient and is worshiped through the great beyond. A titan or eternal level being that gained a power similar to the Loa on great scale, that could be the secret behind her powers that seem to came from more than one cosmic force.

  4. Elune imo is a plot device the same as Tom bombadil in lotr and Yoda in Star wars. It's a mystery character to spark our imagination they intentionally give you an over op character with little to no info on them so you can fill in your own blanks

  5. I have a theory. How about elune is a being that is born out of a dream of azeroth. So to say an avatar of azeroth that came to reality bc people living on her were always begging and praying for a God in bad times. So azeroth heard all their pain, sadness and helplessness and created elune. Or maybe she just created this avatar to not need to get awaken so all living beings on her wouldn't die bc of how the world would have been broken because of that. I think the fact that after all azeroth is still not awake or interacting in any ways and we know basicly nothing about elune, I think this is a good connection that this is somehow related and it's very likely that azeroth the titan of reality can create a "God" or avatar of herself and bring it to reality

  6. regardless of which of your lore speculations has come to fruition over the years, they're all interesting and appreciated (not to mention better than what Blizz puts out) so keep up the good work!

  7. The Malfurian thing makes me so mad because once he's there, he can just do the druid thing where he eventually crawls out of the Emerald Dream, probably with a freshly minted moose body like Cenarius. Totally going to double down and make his "death" just as irrelevant as Ysera's.

Khadgar's speculation was that Elune created the Naaru, not that she was one. But given that "created/ordered" is something that can be misinterpreted, I suppose you can see it a bunch of different ways. I like the idea that she is like antivirus software the first ones installed in the universe, though.

Dwarves primary religion is titan worship, Light is secondary for them. Arguably they are the chosen people of the titans, or at least Azeroth, because Magni.

  8. We have: Order-Disorder, Light-Void, Life-Death, …what would fit as a 7th? Could it be something like "faith/fate"?
Faith/fate or believe would be something that can only exist because the other forces existed before. But it would be connected to all of them.

  9. I think Elune probably does have all of the cosmic powers and is a being outside these forces. Always does her own thing and answers to nobody. I dont think Azeroth is the only place she keep an eye on because she is worshipped in many other places throughout the Great Beyond. I think she is all the things that were described, watcher, keeper, protector, etc. Especially making sure things stay in balance. I hope we get more info in DF.

  10. I've been saying Elune was at one point running the realm of Life, or at least a portion of it as a pantheon member and at some point ascended to something more. It would explain Xal'ataths remarks. What if since Sisters Tear was created by Elune and WQ, Elune collaborated with Eonar at some point creating the Tears of Elune?

As for her speculation to be involved with the Light, I'ma just go ahead and wing it. I think An'she is the brother of Elune and WQ. Just like how life and death are connected, life needs light in order to thrive correct?

  11. We never get any suggestion that Elune draws power from worship. It's also unclear really if she asks for worship or if she just gets it for being so helpful towards her favored children. Just like the Titans are somewhat considered gods by their creations and their creations creations.

Also it is possible that the reason they needed Elunes blessing for Kalecgos to become the aspect of the blue dragonflight was simply because they did not have access to the titans and their original blessings so they turned to the next best thing, Elune clearly has some ties to the titans with her tear being a pillar of creation while the other pillars are all titan artifacts. That doesn't mean that your theory is wrong these two things arent mutually exclusive, it's just a way that Blizz doesn't have to soft retcon dragons again.

  12. Hmm. So, Zuval was the titan+ of the shadowlands, right? What if Elune is the Titan+++/Goddess of Reality?

This is gonna be pretty far out there, but hear me out. At first, Reality was all that existed. Souls popped into existence, lived, died, and were gone forever. Elune didn't like this and since she had the power, she decided to make a mirror of Reality for souls to go, and be reborn back into reality. However, you cannot have a realm of death without a realm of life… So in making the Shadowlands, she had to balance the equation by creating the Emerald Dream. Life is created there, shifted to Reality to be born and die and then go to the Shadowlands, only to be reborn back again into Reality. It's like an infinity symbol with Reality at the crossing and the Emerald Dream and the Shadowlands being the two loops. It's also designed that way on the cosmological map, if you look closely. Reality is the center of everything. It's where every force is created and where they exist currently. However, just as the Shadowlands and the Emerald Dream are dark and light mirrors of Reality, so too must they also have forces of their own. The Winter Queen is the Death Mirror of Elune. Her sister. Created when the Shadowlands were created. I would then assume that there is a Life Mirror of Elune in the Emerald Dream. But given that mirrors are only reflections and not actual things, the Winter Queen is not as powerful as Elune. I think Elune is only concerned with the Cycle… which is why she doesn't really interfere with things. So long as the cycle is running, she stays out of things for the most part. When Zuval started messing with that cycle, though, she had to step in. As far why she is associated with the moon… The light from the moon is also a reflection… a mirror, as it were. It represents, sort of, what she is (as the Winter Queen and the Life-Mirror counterpart), and what she's created. I would assume she can use all the forces because she's the Goddess of Reality, where all the forces exist.

Other thoughts that tie in: The pantheons of the Forces also exist in mirror images. Azeroth is Elune's daughter, one of many. I would assume the Sun and other stars would be the Sons of Elune.

  13. I may be missing parts or over simplifying but, there was the idea that one force in the cosmos became 2 and then one if those continued to split off into the different cosmological forces.

What if Elune and Azeroth in the beginning were one being that was split into 2 (body and soul). You say that Elune has some connection to all of the other cosmological forces. Would it be possible that Elune has split herself, each part becoming a different conflicting force?

This gives a reason as to why she is so involved in what's happening on Azeroth, her involvement with the dragons, and her connection to the shadow lands, emerald dream, and winter queen.

  15. I see it a little bit different. The winterqueen calls Elune her sister. So imho she was originally her counterpart in the pantheon of life. But she leaves this role behind, she leaves the pantheon of life an went to the great beyond. This is why the Winterqueen is so angry about her.
There she "becomes more", becomes an "upcoming godess". Works with the titans, maybe with light.

  16. The more I think about it, the more I believe that Elune is outside of the system. Maybe not since the beginning, but she might have been removed to keep the “order” of things in our reality. And why would they (possibly Titans and all other forces) do that?
What if Elune is Azeroth consciousness, extracted, observing our reality with limited options for intervetion. All forces may agreed to remove her from our reality, to rule over her physical form and power, endlessly fighting each other as we know it, because it simply suits them. With Azeroth awakened, they might lose their power or purpose. That might be why they want to keep her asleep, never waking up.
And that might explain the signs of duality in everything as well.
