Yesterday I did 5 heroic bosses on raid, Wanna guess what I got? Yep you are right anima lool. Im currently getting like one good drop per week and its from vault.
I’m a Prot pal and my buddy is feral. You bet your ass we made our own groups. We got KSM doing it lol.

How to easily raise your item level:
Get items with a higher item level and equip them!
Heroic only guilds? How many guilds are actually clearing Mythic is the question. id say Heroic guilds are the norm, and Mythic ones are extreme outliers, especially this tier.
So what your saying is, pvp gearing needs a massive nerf. Gotcha.

Kinda nice guide. I still wish myself the bfa-loot back. I am not playing this game to farm gear, but to play the game. I mean, i had time to gear in the Christmas weeks, so i am not starving on gear now (216 ilvl without PvP, cuz Vers sucks for me, i hate PvP and i am bad at it). In bfa i just went to my mythic raid 1-2 days a week and spammed m+, when i could oder Just did not Play, when i didnt have the time. Really enjoyed the Part, when they removed titanforge so the only rng was Socket or No Socket. I hope, they change sth for the better later in the Expansion, as they did in bfa (early bfa sucked aswell). Else i probably will be gone with next patch, when i dont have time to farm that much, and so i cant take Part anymore. Would be a shame.

This is great and all, but it is also a matter of time, for instance there's many who legit doesn't have time to do 10 M+ dungeons while also doing a huge amount of PvP and on top of it Raid, some of us have to choose where to invest our time.
It really sucks that PvP is the best way to get gear.

just do lowest dps in your group for m+ you get the gear more often
I ran a +8 plaguefall last week as ilvl 194 mw monk. It was rough, almost put me off m+ for good. 🙂 I guess I'll give it another crack with fortified.
Basically join a guild.
Tldr; Have friends or cry.
pvp upgrade gear, run higher lvl dungeons
No offense but as a healer yeah it’s going to be easy for you to get a little higher pugging pvp.. good luck doing well when even low rating is full of rogue/mage or arms/healer or convoke/literally anything..

My ele shaman survives 2 seconds longer than enhance. You literally have to play with a healer to do well in 2’d period so if your friend doesn’t heal then you slog around 1400 as double dps.

Just adding 2 things:
1- in the case you mentioned about the belt and the ring in the vault. Specifically because you can equip two rings, i would pick the ring. By doing that, dropping another ring you will be able to equip it. If you pick the belt and drop another one, one of them will be disenchanted 😉
2- covenant set. By this weed you can get and upgrade your covenant set to 190 ilvl. It's something like 7 or 8 pieces.
Personal experience: i finish leveling my in horde yesterday, did all covenant campaign + pvp for trinkets and rings. Im at 190 ilvl today (no legendaries yet). Less than 24h.

What if you think m+ is the biggest piece of crap blizz has ever created. No other thing in wow is time based and there should not be. Wow is all about putting alot of tries into something verry hard to in the end get good rewards. Well m+ punish you for doing alot of tries. And it takes ages. Just give raidi g back 5 drops for 20 man and let me skip m+ all together.
Fuck Blizz for forcing plebs like me into pvp. Total bs.
You left out covenant armor at high renown.
This week the armor set finished and is upgradable to 190. Next week it’ll be upgradable to 197 I think and the anima cost is negligible.
So you’ll have all but weapon, trinkets, rings and neck just below normal raid level.
As a pvper, I am upset about doing raids
How do you feel about using the covenant sets?
As a casual player that dont have a guild and dont have any friends to play with its really hard to get Gear. I gave up after heroic dungeons and when i got a legendary. Then started to lvl alts. But now i cant even get into a m+ 0 group since ilvl is low and dont have any io Score.
Something thats nice for alts is that your covenant campaign provide you with items you can upgrade each week for some anima, currently the items are capped at 190, which is quite nice for alts not really doing group content, sure they might not be the ideal stats but its something, my druid for instance has a severe lack of haste from her covenant set
