You're pointing out a few flaws with this starting zone and I hope the Turtle WoW devs are watching. The three major ones are the graveyard, the trainers and a lack of vendors outside the city.
No worries about the travelling back and forth man it's like we are in an adventure and in it, we don't really know exactly what's gonna happen. It's like part of the immersion lol like it's a situation where it'll realistically happen to almost every adventurer doing their adventuring.
Also, music can be turned down a bit but leave the ambience and sound as is. Even up the ambience a bit if it's still not maxed for a more immersive experience
The fire and stuff are from the summer festival. You get quests for the fires that are spread all around Azeroth and Kalimdor. And for the poles to do something you need another person.
About 10 mins under the tent will get you full rested xp instead of staying logged out for a week. I believe tents are part of the survival profession which I haven't figured out how to learn yet either. I believe it is somewhere in STV and I'm only 24 so that would make sense that I haven't come across it yet.
Mmh check if you have in vanilla tweaks "skip gossip", sometimes it makes you skip any other option in an npc if it's not a quest. It happened to me as well with my class trainer.
I maybe would've done the mage quest to see if that unlocked anything, but from the comments below, probably not… This version of the game.!! new quests and buildings in all areas..!!! WoW! More more more.!!
I don't mind the travelling either, I mean if that's what it's like playing turtle wow, it would be a shame to skip it. I like it, contributes to the relaxed feel of the videos 🙂
I wonder though about the map and time zones, this is a bit nerdy maybe but I'm a geography student so bear with me. I just don't get it. The continents could very well be on separate sides of the globe. The map looks like a mercator projection (as many of our world maps are too), which means the world is projected on a cylinder-shape and then "rolled out", so the time zones can stretch all across the one map. Like, the US and Australia can both be seen on a mercator map but lie on opposite-ish sides of the globe.
If Kalimdor and Eastern kingdoms aren't on opposite sides of the globe , the map is really misleading, it doesn't make sense. I don't know what the lore says. But if the creators of turtle wow understand maps and saw this, making the time zones like this is a really cool detail added. From my view, now the time zones match what the in-game world map is telling us, that the continents lie on separate parts of the globe.
Couple of notes: 1. The tents is a great way of getting rested XP quickly, notice at 45:00 how quickly you accumulated rested XP. This server basically allows you to be with rested XP 100% of your playtime.
2. The gryphon does fly up, it's designed the same way as swimming which is a bit clunky on this client. Just look up and hold both the left and the right mouse buttons, the gryphon allows you to fly on it for a limited time of 30 seconds.
iirc you need to pick up the fire festival quest. get torches you can toss into the flame for a crit buff. then you need to spend a certain amount of time on the may pole thing. it increases exp gain. you can spin for up to an hour buff but it takes a min or two.
the music is fine, but it would be nice if they lowered the amount of melody and had more tracks. for music to be good back ground it need to not be distracting. and to not be distracting there needs to be more bassline than melody. slow notes with more emphasis on chords and percussion than arpeggios. that mage trainer is not able to train you because trainers outside of major cities don't have all spells to train. when you trained the last time, there were no red spells, which means either you turned off seeing unavailable spells, or that you exhausted her list. "why can't i train?" it is a method of increasing difficulty and keeping people from outleveling the content. if you dont want people to do something, dont allow them to do it. "it seems like it could be easily fixed" well, yeah… it could be fixed, if it wasn't intended. you also could make bosses easier so people always oneshot them. "darnassus doesn't have a mage trainer" i don't remember if they do or dont. they didn't in vanilla, but i thought there was one in turtle. also in the region of the map you are in, allah'thallas is the high elf capital. so there should be one in that city. you can tell a major city from a minor one by whether they have faction auctioneers.
Traveling time no worries , that’s kind of the charm of classic wow , but I think you should had completed the mage quests first , just look for a group and do those quests . But yea the trainer should be able to train you regardless, that’s a bug to report.
Twow- back when I played it was initial high elf rollout at a broken caravan in Loch Modan. I had no idea how to get my 38 back to the new starting zone without your travel here. I was trying to swim up or walk through plague lands ROFL. Thanks for saving me repairs!
Loving this content, one thing I will say is that the rain sounds extra loud compared to the other sounds. Not sure if its the same for you. Cheers and good luck!
For those that dont know the darkmoon fair has is at goldshire. I'm not sure if it's a certain level, but a guy gives you a quest to find a torta egg. This will give you a turtle mount at low level that scales to your level for how fast it'll run.
Yet another great Episode. Small unasked for tip: the small leather collar you sold at 51:30 is an item used between lvl 10-19 in a quest (besides other small items) that gives Fashion Coins as a reward. One of these costs around 20-25 silver in the Auction House. Better to save them and use or just sell
I am enjoying this content. Do you have plans to stream on Twitch?
Hey, the trainers in starting areas only have the beginner spells, if you want to train further you have to go to a mage trainer in a capital city
i dont mind watching traveling, its part of the game and exploration, slow and steady like a turtle 🙂
You're pointing out a few flaws with this starting zone and I hope the Turtle WoW devs are watching.

I like to see the travelling. But the music could be turned down a little bit.

I'm good with the traveling part of the videos. Keep us emerged.
Love this series, keep them coming m
Every now & then it is recommended to delete your WDB folder in your Turtle WoW folder. It helps with bugs & might fix your issue with mage training.

Loving this man!
Nothing more chill than travel, and I am cool with that.
Why not ask the players to group in the felstrider area or ask them where the boats go
I maybe would've done the mage quest to see if that unlocked anything, but from the comments below, probably not… This version of the game.!! new quests and buildings in all areas..!!! WoW! More more more.!!
I too like travel time, it keeps me emerged in the content as well it helps me see how you, or someone else solves their dilemma

I think players sent you packages.

The music is still to loud in my opinion.
If you would have went to the left after you left the boat in Stormwind, you would have found some quests
I love the travelling part, make these videos feel so chill.
