  2. Catch me running disc/boomkin/destro in 9.1. Just teleport someone behind a pillar convoke/chaos bolts with new convoke lego giving you relatively consistent goes that will make it harder to trade. May be cheesey but I'm not gonna get rank 1 anyway

  3. 20% nerf to infernal cascade equates to 2-4% damage nerf to pyro, how is that enough to kill fire? Its still an insanely wellrounded spec with instant cc on demand, triune for tankiness and decent damage outside of combust with rune and meteor, aswell as combust not being kleptable anymore if everyones gonna be playing frost. At best its just gonna be worse than playing frost, but ”avoid”? Theres no way on earth

  4. Great video as always Supa and i agree with all of your predictions except one…….Shadowpriest. The changes overall are going to be big nerf in my opinion. The reason behind this is that it would as you say appear they are getting a buff to sustained damage by nerfing the burst of devouring plague and shifting that damage into VT and Pain, however the problem lies with just dispeling Vampiric Touch/Pain with impunity and the complete removal of the lasting plague pvp talent which is a huge indirect buff to healers that cannot dispel diseases. The dispel punishment is a joke and pretty much just ignored due to its lack of impact and now it just gains more value to dispel VT and Pain due to them doing much more damage.

This is largely a net zero change to Hpal or Priests since they get your DP for free, but with the almost certain rise of Monks and Resto druids this is massive since they always will leave the DP on the target fighting against their hots, but now that DP is ticking for much less due to not only the nerf to damage but duration due to lasting plague being removed. You will not be able to out purge the hots and create pressure before you weaker DP has ticked out. So them just pressing dispel on your setup with DP is just going to hard counter your damage just like it does with HPal and Priest.

And that is just from a healing stand point; as we all know the SP is normally the train target for melee cleave so with the amount of interupts/stuns and disruption that is going to be available means melee are going to gain absolutley insane value against a SP for every VT they stop. Before you could use that incoming damage to still setup decent burst windows with DP while using the driven to madness PvP talent. This was good design as comps that wanted to train you had to do it at a cost, but now that potential damage will no longer be as powerful and only encourages melee to train you harder to now shut down your damage through VT casts as well as Gfade being nerfed (it was OP).

I could be wrong on this and it might still work out, but without dispel protection from a UA lock i just dont see the spec being anywhere near as powerful in setup comps as it was before, although i do look forward to playing it in rbgs where the spread pressure might actually be insane now with a high crit/vers build and ghosts.

  5. The biggest nerv SP got is that they removed Lasting Plague PvP Talent. This is a huge dps and passive healing nerv, which people dont realize. You will have a miserable time against double meeles. I think most other casters will do anything better than a SP can offer. Just put a holy priest in your team if you want mindgames

  6. Fire mage definitely not losing much ground. It's so far ahead from the second best caster in the game, a 4% dmg nerf to combustion won't make it weak overnight
